DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM:
National Individual Adventure Cum Training Camp North East India in Guwahati a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple, featuring shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu, Kaziranga National Parkwhich hosts two-thirds of the world's great one-horned rhinoceroses, is a World Heritage Site.
DAY WISE SCHEDULE:
Day 1 : Reporting at Guwahati, by 10.00 AM, Lunch, and Evening Tea After lunch Participants proceed to Visit MaaKamakhya Temple, Dinner & Stay at Guwahati. (Approx 27 km)
Day 2: After breakfast, Proceed to Bomdila via Bhairabkunda, Lunch Enroute, Arrival At Bomdila, Post evening Tea visit Bomdila Monastery, Dinner & Stay At Bomdila (Approx 170 km).
Day 3 After Breakfast Proceed to Tawang, Lunch Enroute, Arrival At Tawang, Evening Tea, Dinner & Stay At Tawang (Enroute Visit To Sela Pass 13700Ft, JaswantGarh) (Approx 220 km)
Day 4 After Breakfast, Proceed to Tawang Local Sightseeing, Back To Hotel For Lunch, Evening Free For Local Visit, Evening Tea (Visit To Tawang Monastery, Tawang War Memorial, UrgellingGompa,) Dinner & Stay At Tawang (Approx 30 km)
Day 5 After Breakfast, Proceed to Tawang Outskirt Sightseeing (Madhuri Lake, P.T Tso Lake, Bumla Pass ( 15700 ft), Back To Hotel, Lunch Evening Tea, Dinner & Stay At Hotel (Approx 70 km)
Day 6 After Breakfast Proceed to Dirang, Lunch Enroute, ArrivalatDirang, Visit Nuranang Falls, and DirangMonestry Evening Tea, Dinner & Stay atDirang (Approx 178 km)
Day 7 After Breakfast, Proceed to Tezpur, and Sight seen Agnigarh, Cole Park), Lunch atTezpur, Evening Tea, Dinner & Stay atTezpur (Approx 110 km)
Day 8 After Breakfast, Proceed to Kaziranga, Lunch Enroute, Evening Tea, Bihu Dance, Stay at Kaziranga (Approx 100 km)
Day 9 Early Visit to Kaziranga National Park & Elephant Safari, Back to Hotel for Breakfast, Lunch & After Lunch Proceed To Kaziranga Jeep Safari, Dinner & Stay at Kaziranga (Approx 40 km)
Day 10 After Breakfast, Proceed to Shillong, Lunch enroute Evening Tea, Dinner & Night Stay at Shillong. (Approx 300 km)
Day 11 After Breakfast, Proceed to Cherrapunjee, (Visit toDawaki Cleanest River, Cleanest Village, Single Living Root Bridge Lunch Enroute, Evening Tea, Dinner & Night Stay atCherrapunjee (Approx 190 km)
Day 12 After Breakfast Proceed to Cherrapunjee Sightseeing (Visit To Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave ) and return to Guwahati. The Group disperses on arrival at Guwahati in the evening. (Approx 230 km)
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The minimum and maximum age for an YHAI member to join the program is 12 years to 70 Years, YHAI membership is mandatory to participate. This condition will be adhered to strictly.

TO REACH THE BASE CAMP:
By Air
The nearest airport isLokpriyaGopinathBordoloi
International Airport, Borjhar, Guwahati, Assam 781015 which lies approximately
25kilometers away from base camp and offers daily flights from New Delhi.
By Train
Ghuwahati railway station is well
connected by Train network. Participants may select suitable trains.
HOW
TO JOIN:
Members desirous of joining this
program may apply online through our website www.yhaindia.org or, through offline mode by sending
the prescribed registration form duly supported by a Medical Certificate, along
with a DD amount 39,000/- of requisite amount in favor of “Youth Hostels
Association of India”, payable at New Delhi. Members can also apply through the
State Branch or Local Unit of YHAI.

SAFETY & SECURITY:
Extensive and painstaking preparations have gone into the planning of sight seen programe for your safety. Our field staff and experienced camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, the Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities.
SMOKING, USE OF ALCOHOL AND NARCOTICS OF ANY DESCRIPTION ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED DURING THE PROGRAM.
Cancellation
Cancellation Method:
1) Participants booked online will do online cancellation minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.
2) Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to trekking@yhaindia.org minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.
Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.
Cancellation Policy:
The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions of "Cancellation Method", is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:
(a) Credit Shell:-
1) In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till December 2024.
2) If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2024.
3) If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.
4) Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.
5) You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.
6) The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organised by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.
OR
(b) Refund:-
Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of “Cancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.
Note: If any program will be cancelled due to Natural Calamity / Government Restriction / Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
