Program Coordinator Details:
Day 1: Morning Arrival and Acclimatization
· Report in Leh during the morning and rest until evening to allow your body to adjust to the high altitude as Leh is situated at an altitude of 11500 feet from sea level.
Day 2: Local Sightseeing via Srinagar Route
Explore key attractions, including:
· Hall of Fame (a museum dedicated to the Indian Army).
· Spituk Monastery (a beautiful ancient Buddhist monastery).
· Magnetic Hill (a natural wonder where vehicles appear to defy gravity).
· Sangam (the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers).
· Shanti Stupa (a peaceful Buddhist structure offering panoramic views).
· Leh Palace (a 17th-century palace).
· End the day exploring the bustling Leh Market.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (18200 ft)
· Drive over Khardung La, the world’s second-highest motorable pass.
· Explore the sand dunes of Hunder and enjoy optional activities like camel rides.
· Overnight stay in Hunder.
Day 4: Day Trip to Turtuk and the Indo-Pak Border
· Visit the picturesque village of Turtuk, located near the India-Pakistan border.
· Return to Hunder for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok River
· Travel to Pangong Lake, famous for its stunning turquoise waters and serene surroundings.
· Overnight stay at Tangtse.
Day 6: Tangtse to Leh via Local Sightseeing
En route to Leh, visit:
· 3 Idiots School (Druk White Lotus School, known for its 3 Idiots Movie shooting).
· Sindhu Darshan Point (a tribute to the Indus River).
· Shey Palace (a former royal residence).
· Thiksey Monastery (a picturesque monastery resembling the Potala Palace).
· Hemis Monastery (the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh).
Day 7: Leh to Tso Moriri Lake via Upshi and Chumathang
· Drive through Upshi and Chumathang, known for hot water springs.
· Reach Tso Moriri Lake, a tranquil high-altitude lake, and stay overnight in Karzok Village.
Day 8: Karzok to Leh via Manali Highway
Return to Leh while covering:
· Puga Valley (geothermal fields and scenic views).
· Debring (a small stop near More Plains).
· Tanglang La (one of the highest motorable passes).
· Tso Kar Lake (a stunning saltwater lake).
Day 9:Departure
· Check out after breakfast, marking the end of your Leh exploration.

* How to Reach:
By Bus:
Route-1: from Srinagar 434km via Sonmarg, Zozila Pass & Kargil. J&K State Road Transport Corporation operates regular bus services between Srinagar and Leh on this route with overnight halt at Kargil.
Route-2: from Manali 474km via Keylong, Baralacha, Tanglangla & Upsi. Himachal Pradesh Tourism, HRTC and J&K SRTC operate daily Deluxe and ordinary bus services between Manali and Leh. The bus journey between Leh and Manali with an overnight halt at Keylong or Darcha.
By Air: Major Airlines operate daily flights from Delhi/Jammu/Srinagar
By Train: The closest railway stations are Jammu, Pathankot or Chandigarh, both at least three days
NOTE: There is no prepaid mobile service availability at Leh- Ladakh region, only postpaid services are functional.(Airtel, BSNL,Only)

* What participants should bring along: Woolens, cotton clothes, water bottles, plates, spoons, bowls, mug, glass etc, raincoat, cold cream/Vaseline, personal first aid kit, towel, Lunchbox (for packed lunch) and medicines that you normally use at home.
* Notice to Participants:
1. Deviation from the set schedule of the program is not permitted. If participants may wish to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the program and checking out.
2. Staying other than YHAI Camp is not allowed for the entire duration of the camp.
3. This is an environment-friendly camp. Do not litter any wrappers in any way. In case you find any wrapper, plastic bag or anything left by trekkers on the way, please carry the same with you and dump in the dustbin at base camp.
4. Burning of wood during campfire is strictly prohibited. Carrying any Non-bio - degradable Material in JK is an offense.
5. Previous day Reporting allowed paid basis.
Risk Factor
This is a high risk adventure programme, involving stiff Motorbiking on Himalayan passes. Below mentioned are some of the important risk factors which should be taken care :
•High Altitude Sickness leading to Pulmonary Oedema
•Exhaustion due to Stressful driving
•Fall during climb or down leading to ordinary or serious injuries
•Any unforeseen circumstances
It is emphasized that this is high risk expedition and may lead to simple/serious injury or injuries/loss of limb/temporary or permanent disability/death. YHAI will provide adequate assistances in the above circumstances but cannot be held responsible for any of the risks mentioned or not mentioned above.
How to Enroll
Participants may enroll online on www.yhaindia.org. We accept Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit Card payment on www.yhaindia.org for online payments. After successful transaction Admit Card will be generated. Participant has to carry \"Admit Card\", \"Trekking Medical Certificate\" & \"Membership Card\"(Print out of membership card may also be accepted) at the time of reporting to the Base Camp.
Cancellation Method:
1) Participants booked online will do online cancellation minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.
2) Participants booked offline will inform their cancellation by email to trekking@yhaindia.org minimum 10 days prior to your reporting date.
Only cancellation done as per above method will be eligible for credit shell/refund. The below cancellation policy will however not be applicable if the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date and shall not be eligible for credit shell/refund.
Cancellation Policy:
The Participant, who cancels the programme by serving request minimum 10 days prior to his/her reporting date as per above terms and conditions of "Cancellation Method", is eligible to get the credit shell or refund as follows:
(a) Credit Shell:-
1) In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till December 2025.
2) If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2025.
3) If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.
4) Program opted using the Credit Shell cannot be cancelled again.
5) You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also. The seats thus transferred cannot be retransferred or cancelled.
6) The credit shell can only be used in booking of adventure programs organised by YHAI. The credit shell will not be used in taking memberships and hostel bookings.
OR
(b) Refund:-
Participants can opt for a 50% refund instead of 100% credit shell if they wish to. The conditions of “Cancellation Method” will be the same as mentioned above. The participant has to inform either offline or online minimum 10 days prior to his reporting date. If the request reaches short of 10 days prior to the reporting date the refund request shall not be considered.
Note: If any program will be cancelled due to Natural Calamity / Government Restriction / Cancellation of Permission or any other reasons, YHAI will be accountable only for program fees and not other expenses which participants have made for joining the program. In these circumstances the decision for participation fees will be considered by the YHAI and will be bound to all.
