YHAI's new feather YHAI Sumaropa Camp Site at Kasol, Himachal Pradesh

My Dear Youth Hosteller

\r\n

Greetings to all,

\r\n

Mar 6th, 2023 is the golden day in the history of YHAI.

\r\n

I am very glad to inform you that YHAI has purchased and registered a property for a camp site and International Youth Hostel at Sumarupa, Kasol, Himachal Pradesh.

\r\n

This is a 60 Biswa plot just 2 km before our existing camp site at Kasol.

\r\n

Though we have been organising trekking programmes in Himachal for nearly 45 years we were not having our own land for our programmes till yesterday.

\r\n

Lot of money we have incurred due to rent and lease. From now onwards YHAI has become the proud owners of a property in Himachal Pradesh.

\r\n

This would not have been possible without the support and cooperation of our beloved President Hon’ble Governor of Bihar. Mr. Rajendra Arlekar.

\r\n

On behalf of our entire YHAI fraternity we extend our sincere thanks to him.

\r\n

Mr. Pritesh our NEC member for his continuous contacts with the various Govt depts of Himachal needs a special kudos from YHAI.

\r\n

It is out of place if I don’t mention the names of APC Chairman Mr. Manoj Joshi and CEO Mr. Rupesh Pandey for their untiring visits to Kullu to meet the seller and Govt officials to make this project a great success. In my absence from India both these stalwarts made it possible and the dream come True. My special thanks to both of them.

\r\n

My sincere gratitude to my team of colleagues Mr. Manoj Johri, National Treasurer, National Vice Presidents, Mr. C Ravipaul, Mr. K N Bharat, Mr. RashmiKant Chippa and Mr. JK Srivastava for their kind cooperation and giving approval at every stage of this project.

\r\n

My sincere thanks to all Unit members, State council members, various National Sub Committee members, NEC, National Council members, friends in the industry, Staff of YHAI and NYHT and many other well-wishers for your wishes and cooperation and coordination.

\r\n

I might have missed some names here Please forgive this is not intentional but it is slip of my memory.

\r\n

We have crossed the half way in the bridge and we need your support in kind and donation to complete this mega project.

\r\n

Hope the State Branches distributed the donation receipt books to units and members. It is now your turn to play a major role in getting funds and sponsors to cross the remaining distance in bridge.

\r\n

With the proud feeling I would like to say

\r\n

“Together we can achieve heights”.

\r\n

Regards

\r\n

S Venkat Narayanan
