BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM:                                Aruku Valley: It is located 114 km from Vishakhapatnam, close to the Odissa State border. The Anantagiri and Sunkarimetta Reserve Forests which are part of Araku Valley is rich in biodiversity. This valley is surrounded by mountains like Galikonda, Raktakonda, Sunkarimetta and Chitamogondi. Galikonda hill rising to a height of 5,000 feet (1,500 m) is one of the highest in Andhra Pradesh. The average rainfall is 1700 mm, bulk of which is received during June–October.

Araku is popular for its famous coffee plantations. India’s first tribal growers' organic coffee brand was launched in the Araku Valley in 2007. The premium organic "Araku Emerald" brand of coffee sells globally. Thousands of tribal’s in the Agency area are engaged in coffee cultivation as farm hands or small farmers.

Youth Hostels Association of India, Andhra Pradesh State Branch proudly presents a unique Eastern Ghats adventure Cycle expedition 2021 during November in coordination with Visakhapatnam District unit.

DAY 1: Participants have to report at Sunkarametta church by 2 pm sharply, Cycling to  Mulaberi base camp 8KM, 07:00 PM Orientation and Instruction. Dinner –

DAY 2: Cycling to Pedalabudu 30km, Night Halt at Pedalabudu near Eco Tourism

DAY 3: Cycling to  Biddaguda 30km , Night  Halt at hill top

DAY 4: Cycling to Sunkarametta Church 12 km, after valedictory group will break at Noon 

REPORTING PLACE:                                                     Participants have to report at Sunkarametta church by 2 pm noon,

CANCELLATION RULES: In case you are unable to join the trek after paying the participation fee, you will get a refund of Rs 2,200- provided your written request is received directly in the office of YHAI Andhra Pradesh State Branch or by email to apstateyhai@gmail.com” on or before 5th November 2021 No refund will however, be admissible for cancellations received after 5th November 2021 5pm.
