Day wise Schedule:

# Day 01: Reporting  (12.00 PM), Acclimatization and orientation Walk.  

 # Day 02: Visit Srinagar Route & Manali Route, ( Sangam, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Spituk Monastery, Hall of Fame, & Shanthi Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Market)  

 # Day 03: Visit Nubra Valley Via Khardungla Pass Stay at Nubra Valley

 # Day 04: Visit Pangong  Lake, Changla Pass via Shayok River back to Leh

  # Day 05: Recreation Activities & Checkout after breakfast (09.00 AM)

Who Can Join: Participation in the programme is open to all.Individuals for both male and female.Age 10 to 60

Note: Schedule of Sight-Seeing Places may change without prior notice (based on the weather condition (Tempo will be arranged with shared seats)

 

*What Participants should bring along: bedsheet, sweater, shoes, sun-cap, raincoat, two pairs of socks, torch, water bottle, lunch box, mug, plate, tumbler, toilet set, cold cream, and a first-aid kit.

*HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP:

 

Nearest Bus Stand: Leh, Nearest Railway Station:  Jammu, Nearest Airport: Leh 1km.

* How to Participate:

Online Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online by paying requisite program fee along with online booking amount i.e. Rs.10000/- We accept Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit Card payment on www.yhaindia.org for online payments.

After successful transaction Admit Card will be generated. Participant has to carry "Admit Card", " Medical Certificate" & "Membership Card"(Print out of membership card may also be accepted) at the time of reporting to the Base Camp.

Offline Booking: Members desirous of joining this programme may also apply on the prescribed "Trekking Registration Form" duly supported by a "Trekking Medical Certificate", along with a DD of requisite amount of Rs.10000/-(Rs.50 postage charges) per person) in favour of “Youth Hostels Association of India” payable at New Delhi. The Registration Form and DD may be sent to the following address:

* Food & Supplies: Morning tea, breakfast, packed lunch, evening tea (in the camp), and dinner and after dinner tea/coffee/Bourn vita, shall be provided. Nutritious, vegetarian and good quality food shall be served at the camp. Please bring your own plates, mugs, spoons etc. Natural mineral spring water has been brought to the base camp from a nearby source. Washing of clothes is strictly prohibited. Hot Water Facility Available at basecamp only

 

* Accommodation Facilities:  Sharing Tent accommodation and Sleeping bag shall be provided.  A common toilet-cum bathrooms block is available at the camp.

 

* Safety & Security: YHAI Group Insurance cover is for accidental death or permanent disability only. You are advised to take personal insurance cover for your journey and other related matters. Extensive and painstaking preparations have gone into the planning of this program for your safety. Our field staff and experienced camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, the Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities.

 

* How to Reach:

By Bus: 

Route-1: from Srinagar 434km via Sonmarg, Zozila Pass & Kargil. J&K State Road Transport Corporation operates regular bus services between Srinagar and Leh on this route with overnight halt at Kargil.

Route-2: from Manali 474km via Keylong, Baralacha, Tanglangla & Upsi. Himachal Pradesh Tourism, HRTC and J&K SRTC operate daily Deluxe and ordinary bus services between Manali and Leh. The bus journey between Leh and Manali with an overnight halt at Keylong or Darcha.

By Air: Major Airlines operate daily flights from Delhi/Jammu/Srinagar

By Train: The closest railway stations are Jammu, Pathankot or Chandigarh, both at least three days away by bus.

NOTE: There is no prepaid mobile service availability at Leh- Ladakh region, only postpaid services are functional.(Airtel, BSNL,Only)

* What participants should bring along: Woolens, cotton clothes, water bottles, plates, spoons, bowls, mug,  glass etc,  raincoat, cold cream/Vaseline, personal first aid kit, towel, Lunchbox (for packed lunch) and medicines that you normally use at home.

 

* Notice to Participants:

1.  Deviation from the set schedule of the program is not permitted. If participants may wish to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the program and checking out.

2.  Staying other than YHAI Camp is not allowed for the entire duration of the camp.

3.  This is an environment-friendly camp. Do not litter any wrappers in any way. In case you find any wrapper, plastic bag or anything left by trekkers on the way, please carry the same with you and dump in the dustbin at base camp.

4.  Burning of wood during campfire is strictly prohibited. Carrying any Non-bio - degradable Material in Himachal Pradesh is an offense.

5. Previous day Reporting allowed paid basis.

* Cancellation Policy:

In case you are unable to join this trip you will get 50% of the program fee as a refund, provided your online cancellation request is received before 25 days of your reporting date. http://yhaindia.org/program-cancellation.php
