* BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM: The purpose of the program is to expose the YHAI members to a greater adventure and rough out the rigors of plodding through water with a sense of love for the nature and outdoor recreational activity aiming at promoting National Integration.

The participants will enjoy a splendid panorama of hills, refreshing waterfalls, beautiful landscapes; breath taking trees, the hilly trek of Eastern Ghats provides trekking trails as steep and difficult. The trekking route will therefore, offer the same thrills and excitement as in return journey some additional attractions like jeep ride, bird watching, and Photography.


#Day - 1 Reporting at Base Camp at Sivalingapuram(Sivalingapuram is enrout of Araku, all passenger busses going to araku from Visakhapatnam will have stop at Sivalingapurmam) , Govt. School, Visakhapatnam Dist.- Sivalingapuram is 75 km from Visakhapatnam.

#Day - 2 Acclimatization, evening Orientation

#Day - 3, Trek to Dhanikota - 10 Kms

#Day - 4 Trek to tokuru , cultural activity along local tribes

#Day-  5   Trek to Namaste point via Borra Caves, Katika water falls - 12 Kms

#Day - 6 Group Breaks after certificates distribution, and Break Fast

ADDITIONAL NOTES: The program schedule and routes are subject to change without prior notice


* WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?  Any member of the Association who is physically fit can join the program.

* HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP: Youth Hostel, beside YMCA, beach Rood, Visakhapatnam.Distance from Visakhapatnam railway station 6km,from Rtc Bus stand it will be 4km.

* HOW TO JOIN:  Any member of the Association who is physically fit can join the program.

* CANCELLATION RULES: In case you are unable to join the Expedition after paying the participation fee, you will get Rs.2,100/- as refund of participation fee, provided your request is received directly to the Secretary, AP State branch-YHAI , 20 days before the date of reporting. * ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES: Youth Hostel, Govt Schools and tented accommodation.

* FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES: Simple vegetarian food and tap water will be supplied.

* WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG: Rucksack ( Small size), Cotton T-shirts/Jerseies-, Shirts-2, Pants- 2, Cotton socks-3 pairs, Under garments-4,Towel, Napkin, Good Sports shoes, Lunch box, Plate, Mug, Spoon, Glass, Small knife, Sun cap, Goggles , Toilet kit, water bottle (1 liter plastic), Torch, note-pen, toilet paper, Talcum powder, Medicines that you use regularly.

* SAFETY & SECURITY: Extensive and pain taking preparation has gone into the planning of the Trek route. Our experienced field staff and camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all the details. While every care has been taken to ensure your safety & health, the YHAI, AP State Branch cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities.
