* About Program:

The Sundarban is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove froest in the world. The Sundarban is a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering parts of Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal. The Sundarban National Park is a national park, Tiger Reserved, and a biosphere Reserved located in the sundarban delta in the Indian State Of West Bengal. This Region in Densely Covered by Mangrove Forests , and is one of the Largest Reserved For the Royal Bengal Tiger.

* How To Reach:

Nearest Railway Station Howrah / Sealdha / Kolkata / Santragachi / Salimar and Nearest Airport Dumdum. By Bus or Taxi Salt Lake Stadium ( Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Kirangan ) Salt Lake , Kolkata -Main Gate. Near – Kadapara Bus Stoppage.

Nabaprajanma State Youth Hostel, Salt Lake, Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan,Kolkata

* Program Includes:

* Day Wise schedule:

# 1st Day :- Reporting at Youth Hostels Saltlake after 3.00 P.M

# 2nd Day :- Transfer by bus from Salt Lake YH to Sonakhali and Board at launch

Canning/Sonakhali,Gosaba,Sojnakhali(W.T.), Pakhiralay(Night stay).

# 3rd Day  :-  Sojnakhali (W.T.) Sudhanyakhali (W.T.) Pirkhali, Gazikhali, Noubanki, panchamukhani, Deul Varani , DoBanki(W.T.), Jhorkhali(W.T),Thakurani .   Night stay at Ramghanga/Namkhana(Hotel).

# 4th Day - Bhagabatpur (Crocodile Project), Temple of Kapil Muni & Sea Beach (Gangasagar). Night Stay at Gangasagar/Namkhana(Hotel).

# 5th Day - Bidha River, Bey oF Bangal, Bidha Forest, Canning / Sonakhali and

Transfer By Bus to Calcutta Central Esplaned Bus Terminus and Groups Break.

N.B: Without Admit Card, valid Membership Card / receipt and Medical Fitness Certificate your registration cannot be claimed as confirmed.

* Cancellation Policy:

In case you are unable to join this expedition you will get a refund of Rs.2850/- provided your request is received before 1st Oct, 2017. After this date no refund application will be considered. Any unforeseen event /strike or natural calamity will not be considered as a cause of cancellation. Refund will be given after completion of the program 30 to 40 working days.

* Offline Booking Process:

Members can also apply through our YHAI Units or State Branch in their respective area. Members desirous of joining this program may apply on the prescribed registration form (Download hyperlink) duly supported by a Medical Certificate (Download), along with a DD of requisite amount in favor of “Youth Hostels Association of India” payable at New Delhi. 

* Notice to Participant for any illness or injury:

1. Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program.

2. Deviation from the set route of the program is not permitted. If participants may wish to join any other activity, they may do so at their own     responsibility and risk only after finishing the program and checking out.

 

3. Stay other than YHAI Camp is not allowed for the entire duration of the camp.

 

4. This is an environment friendly trek. Do no litter any wrappers or spoil the trial in any way. In case you find any wrapper, plastic bag or         anything left by trekkers on the way, please carry the same with you and deposit at the base camp.

 

5. Burning of wood during camp fire is strictly prohibited. Import of any bio Non- degradable Material in Himachal Pradesh is an offence.

* Food & Supplies:

Only Nutritious Vegetarian Foods will be provided.

 

* Accommodation Facilities:

Shearing Basic.

 

* Safety & Security:

Extensive and painstaking preparations have done into the planning of routes for your safety. Our Field Staffs have been visiting the area to check all in details, every care has been taken to ensure safety. Youth Hostels Association of India West Bengal State Branch Can Not Be Held Responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen casualties. If Participants desire to join and other activities they may do so at their own cost and responsibility and only after finishing the program and checking out.

 

* What participants should along:

Shirt and pant , Wincheater, Inner Garments, Shoe and Chhaple, Sun Cap, Sun Glass, Sun Crème, Torch, Water Bottle and water purifier, Toilet Paper, Medicine ( which you normaly use at home) , Vaseline, Soap, Pen And Book, Camera, Etc.

 

* Note to Participant

Smoking and Use of Alcohol and Narcotics or any description are strictly prohibited during the trekking program. Camera Charges and Entry Ticket for some places will be provided by the participants only. Carry your address proof and Photo Id.

 

 

* Justice TPS Chawla Scholarship:

YHAI announces Justice T.P.S. Chawla Memorial Adventure Scholarship for underprivileged girls for participation in YHAI adventure activities. Deserving participants may apply to the National Office YHAI supported by relevant document / certificates.

 

* Adventure Scholarship:

YHAI announces 50 adventure scholarships of Rs.3500/- each to physically challenged youth (including deaf & dumb) for this expedition. Deserving participants may apply to the National Office YHAI, on a plain paper supported by relevant
