* BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM: All these waterfalls are inside the forested Mhadei wildlife sanctuary of Sattari in North Goa.  Goa‘s Western Ghats are the repository of the biological wealth. The rich biodiversity of the area provides exciting and enthralling experiences to all the adventurers and nature lovers. The Moshacho Ozar is in Hivre of Thane Dongurli village Panchayat. During monsoon, one can get panoramic view of the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary.The Charavane waterfall provides breathtaking view of the lush green forest along with the gushing flow of the river. Shelop - Budruk is blessed by four waterfalls which exhibit the identity through their flow. However the last one offers marvelous sight of the waterfall. Lastly the best waterfalls to be visited is ‘HALDICHO VAZAR‘. It simply means turmeric waterfall. This area was densely forested with turmeric plants and so the name, they provide most soothing experience of the lush green facet of Goa.

*HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP: The base camp will be at Athletic Stadium, Opp. Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Goa. The nearest railway stations are Thivim (25Kms), Karmali (12 km) and Margao (33km.). State bus service is available. Direct bus service is also available from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore & Mangalore. Direct trains are available from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and major cities of India.

* WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?  All members of YHAI. The strength of group shall be 80. The minimum age for participation is 10. Kindly note that the booking shall strictly be done on pair basis (1 Male + 1 Female) This is done to achieve 50% of seats reservation for Women. 

 

* HOW TO JOIN: Members desirous of joining the programme may apply on a prescribed Registration Form. Form should be sent along with Demand Draft / At par payable Cheques  of participation fee (in favour of "YOUTH HOSTELS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA – PANAJI UNIT" payable at Panaji, Goa.) directly to YHAI- Goa State Branch, C/o Joshi Wines, Opp Old Secretariat, Panaji, Goa-403001. Please specify your email id as admit cards will be send by email. There will be no online booking. Photocopies of the forms are acceptable.

* CANCELLATION RULES: In case you are unable to join the trek after paying the participation fee, you will get a refund of 50%- provided your written request is received directly in the office of Goa State Branch on or before 18th July, 2017. No refund will however, be admissible for cancellations received after 18th July, 2017. Emails/SMS/ Phone calls or Whatsapp shall not be considered for cancellation. Kindly note that in case of cancellation please give bank details to refund by NEFT

 

* ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES:  Stay at SPORTS STADIUM

* FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES: TASTY GOAN VEG AND NON VEG FOOD

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG: Sleeping bag (if you have one), cotton shirts, cotton pants, sun cap, Bedsheet, Trekking shoes and Bathroom slippers, socks, torch, water bottle, lunch box, Coffee mug, plate, spoon, pen-knife, needle, thread,  soap, toilet paper, towel, medicines (which you normally use at home) and most IMPORTANTLY a small shoulder bag / Rucksack only for carrying lunch box and water bottle ( Participants will not carry anything other than lunch box and water bottle during treks).

SAFETY & SECURITY: Extensive and painstaking preparation has gone into the planning of trek routes for your safety. Our field staff and experienced camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all details. The Youth Hostels Association of India, cannot be held responsible for any accidents, illness and any such unforeseen eventualities. Deviation from the set route of the program is not permitted. If the participant desires to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the trek and checking out. You are advised to take insurance cover for your journey and other related matters.
