The request comes from the members to organize alternative Family Camping Program in Himalaya. So we decided to organize this program again in summer’2017 very famous hill station Manali in Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Manali is most picturesque valley, is also known as the Queen of Hill station, located on the bank of river Beas river. Kullu valley is known as Valley of God. HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP: By Bus:- Manali is about 560 kms from Delhi, 280 kms from Shimla & 350 kms from Chandigarh. HRTC/Himachal Tourism operates Volvo buses for Manali. By Train:- Nearest railway station are Ambala(300 kms) and Chandigarh(310 kms). HOW TO JOIN: Members desirous of joining this programme may apply on the prescribed registration form duly supported by a Medical Certificate, along with a DD of requisite amount in favour of “ Youth Hostels Association of India” payable at New Delhi. Online booking is available on our website. (www.yhaindia.org). Members can also apply through our YHAI Units or State Branch in their respective area. N.B: Without admit card and Medical fitness Certificate do not claim your registration as confirmed. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? 1. Any YHAI member can participate on first come first serve basis. 2. A family consists of husband, wife and two children up to the age of 12 years. Copy of Birth certificate for the children between ages 10 to 12 years must be attached with application forms or must be submitted at the time of reporting at the Base Camp. Photographs of the Family Head must be attached on the forms. 3. A single person does not constitute a family and shall not be registered for the camp. Parent of very small children should arrange for their bottle feed. 4. Photo ID Proof of the head of the family should be attached with the application form, to be produced at the time of reporting at the base camp. 5. Husband & Wife both need to be the members of YHAI for all Family Camping Programs. However, Spot membership may also be taken at the time of reporting at the Base Camp CANCELLATION RULES: In case you are unable to join this trip you will get 50 % (3250/-) of the program fee as refund, provided your online cancellation request is received before 1st Mar’2017 http://yhaindia.org/program-cancellation.php Request for cancellation and refund may be sent through email at firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no refund applicable for the all the program bookings done after 1st mar’2017. Any unforeseen event / strike or natural calamity will not be considered as a cause of cancellation. ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES: Accommodation will be provided in International Youth Hostel Manali. FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES: Simple , nutritious vegetarian meals will be provided. WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG: Woolens, Cotton Shirts, Slacks, Cotton Pants, Sun Cap, Shoes, Socks, Enameled or Steel Mug / tumbler, Plate, Spoon,lunch box, Water purifying tablets, Pen knife, Needle, Thread, Spare buttons, Goggles, Cold cream / Vaseline, Soap, Toilet Paper, Towel, Rain sheet, Medicines which you normally use at home, Camera with extra batteries. SAFETY & SECURITY You are advised to take personal insurance cover for your journey and other related matters. Extensive and painstaking preparations have gone into the planning of this program for your safety. Our field staff and experienced camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, the Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities. Notice for Participants 1. Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program. 2. Deviation from the set route of the program is not permitted. If participants may wish to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the program and checking out. 3.
