* About Program:

TIRUMALA TIRUPATHI is famous as the abode of SRI BALAJI, the Lord of Seven Hills where Tens of Thousands of pilgrims throng every day seeking His Blessings. But very few are aware of astounding variety of the Fauna and Flora that abounds in the dense forests surrounding this Holy Shrine. Secret Canyons, perennial springs, cascading waterfalls, century’s old tall trees, caves, and prehistoric rock paintings are located off the beaten track and are reachable only by Trekking under the canopy of dense jungle on footpaths known only to the local tribal and the eperience Trekkers of Youth Hostels Association of India.

Kukkaladoddi Village, Balapalli Bungalow, (before 9 AM) 20 Kms form Renugunta Railway Station, and 30 Kms form Tirupati railway Station.

* Day Wise schedule:

DAY 1: Report at kukkaladoddi before 09:00 AM Orientation and Instruction. Trek to Yerra Reddi madugu.
DAY 2: Trek to Tumburu Valley & Theertham: 12 Km. Night Halt It is religious Theertham where many "Rishis" did penance in the ancient times. The trek through the canyon with towering hills of more than 200 feet height with a clearance of 20 to 30 feet only between the vertical rock walls climbing over boulders wading through pools of water ultimately reaching the water fall where the two hills join together is an unforgettable experience. Nature has provided swimming pools of different depths all along route inviting both swimmers and non swimmers to enjoy frolicking in the water after the bath under the waterfall at the end of the Thumburu Kona where a small idol of Tumburu, the celestial horse-headed musician is installed.
On the way Trekkers will have the opportunity to witness some of the rare cave paintings and caves where ancient men
dwelt in the prehistoric age.
Chakalibana Waterfall:
This is a beautiful waterfall on the way to Thumburu theertham from Kukkaladoddi Village.
Vengamamba Cave:
This is a Cave in Thumburu Valley where poetess, VENGAMAMBA did her penance.

DAY 3: Trek Ramakrishna Theertham: 8 Kms, Night Halt

Starting from Thumburu Valley one has to trek 5 kms. Including 1 km. ascent and 2 kms. Descent to down a narrow water course to reach the bowl shaped Ramakrishna Theertham by the side of perennial water course.

DAY 4: Trek to Tirumala Hills, Papavinasanam, 6 Kms, Valedictory


* Who can Participate:

Any member of the Association who is physically fit can join the program.

* Cancellation Policy:

In case you are unable to join the Expedition after paying the participation fee, you will get Rs.1500/- as refund of participation fee, provided your request is received directly to the Secretary, AP State branch-YHAI , 15 days before the date of reporting.

Offline booking.-Members desirous of joining this program may apply on the prescribed registration form duly supported by a latest passport size Photo, Deposit the Registration fees to our State Bank Of India Bank, Ukkunagaram Branch, Account no. : Ac No:35195966786 IFSC Code:SBIN0008054 send the counterfoil along with the registration form to us at the following address.

Notice to Participant for any illness or injury:

1. Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program.

2. Deviation from the set route of the program is not permitted. If participants may wish to join any other activity, they may do so at their own     responsibility and risk only after finishing the program and checking out.
3. Stay other than YHAI Camp is not allowed for the entire duration of the camp.
4. This is an environment friendly trek. Do no litter any wrappers or spoil the trial in any way. In case you find any wrapper, plastic bag or         anything left by trekkers on the way, please carry the same with you and deposit at the base camp.
5. Burning of wood during camp fire is strictly prohibited. Import of any bio Non- degradable Material in Himachal Pradesh is an offence.

* Accommodation Facilities: Every place is open to sky.
* Safety & Security: Extensive and pain taking preparation has gone into the planning of the Trek route. Our experienced field staff and camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all the details. While every care has been taken to ensure your safety & health, the YHAI, AP State Branch cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness and such other unforeseen eventualities.
